The assessment of the capacity of bridge profiles on the Bobrava river
Bezděk, Josef ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This diploma thesis “The Assessment of the Capacity of Bridge Profiles on the Bobrava River” focuses on making calculations of a system of bridges by using HEC-RAS PC software. This thesis assesses the capacity of bridges and applies knowledge of model research to design increase the capacity. A model of a stream on Bobrava River will be created. Furthermore, modifications of a river bed and bridge profiles will be realized for safe conversion Q100 by these constructions. Subsequently, a model of the modified stream n Bobrava River will be made. Lengthways profiles of water surface, table and graphic outputs from HEC-RAS PC software and modified designs will be output.
A Tool for Monitoring and Announcing Multicast Multimedia Streams
Dorušák, Petr ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Skokanová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of tool for monitoring and announcing of multicast multimedia streams. The aim is to create an application that will monitor the MPEG-TS streams in the specified multicast groups and will inform about their run through the Session Announcement Protocol.
Impact of resolution change on subjective QoE measurement of streaming video
Nevřelová, Monika ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee) ; Kováč, Dominik (advisor)
This thesis deals with the process of development of web application for subjective evaluation of streaming video. The thesis describes the adaptive streaming technique, streaming services and both subjective and objective evaluation of streaming video. Methods for measuring of subjective evaluation (namely laboratory method and crowdsourcing method) are described in more detail. A special web-based tool for subjective evaluation of streaming video was created with use of HTML, PHP and MySQL languages. To simulate the network changes, such as changes of the bandwidths, there´re created scenarios where the player selects the quality of the streamed video. The process of collecting data via Laboratory method and Crowdsourcing method is described in the thesis. Collected data are then analyzed.
Technology for webcast
Švehlák, Milan ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis discusses technology for creating webcast and possible methods for its implementation. To begin with, there is mentioned theoretical knowledge about the transmission of multimedia over the Internet. This is followed by a list of basic methods for webcast. In the following parts, these various methods are described in detail with their advantages and disadvantages and they are compared. This thesis also discusses the hardware and software tools necessary for implementing the webcast. Finally, there is a design suggestion for the most appropriate method for making a webcast with respect to the stipulated requirements and subsequently made its implementation.
Web Based Audio/Video Lecture Browser: Porting of the Browser to MySQL Database
Janovič, Jakub ; Fapšo, Michal (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This project deals with a web-based lecture browser, whose goal is to simplify the gaining of knowledge with the use of multimedia. It presents an existing lecture browser that was created for a diploma thesis at FIT VUT Brno. Demonstrated are the technologies that are used and which will be used to migrate the browser to a MySQL database and to develop a transcription module for speeches. The reader will be acquainted with an analysis and model of the new application. Furthermore, implementation methods for development and subsequent testing are discussed. At the end of the project is a conclusion about the future development of web-based lecture browsers.
Wireless robot control using mobile platform
Matuška, Jakub ; Kiac, Martin (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and implementation of an application for robot’s omnidirectional movement control using mobile platform. Implementation includes an Android application, used as user interface, as well as robot–side Python program for controlling movement and sending RTP stream to Android application. User can control robot’s movement using two virtual joysticks. Raspberry Pi was used as the control unit. The application has security module. Pipeline-based multimedia framework named GStreamer was used to implement RTP steaming. This paper describes necessary theory first and then introduces basic building blocks used in creation process of the application.
Compression, decompression and streaming of video data
Šilhavý, Miroslav ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on description of FFmpeg tool and theora codec abilities. Comparison of capabilities and technologies within MPEG-4 (MPEG4- ASP, H.264), Theora and MPEG-2 codec. Testing the compression efficiency and output image quality of codecs x264 and Theora. Further I mentioned samples of using Theora and FFmpeg programming interface for video handling. Part of the thesis is also analysis and implementation of the player based on FFmpeg libraries and application for streaming Theora encoded video packets by RTP protocol.
Video-Conference System for Remote Education
Holán, Josef ; Szőke, Igor (referee) ; Schwarz, Petr (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to design videoconferential system by Java Media Framework. This means to write two programs. One will capture multimedia data from webcam and will sent it into network. The second application which can receive this data is supposed to be on another computer. The multimedia data are transmitted by using Java Media Framework library. We suppose one lector and group of students. Video and audio channel is transmitted to all students. Communication between lector and student  is solved using chat. Lector has possibility open another audio or video channel with all students. Multimedia data will be transferred using Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP). The message including information about student is transferred by Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).
Model of HTTP adaptive video streaming
Kasianenko, Dmytro ; Prokopec, Jan (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
Key tasks of this work are to create the simulation of a wireless network in ns-3 and to stream a video over this network by using MPEG-DASH technology. It describes the tools and methods how to encode a video according to MPEG-DASH. It is explained what is needed to run video server, which uses MPEG-DASH technology to stream videos. Then, it is described how a simulation of wired and wireless WiFi and LTE networks is created. The simulation starts a server and shows how it works, how many nodes can be used and chooses suitable segment duration.
Web application for subjective evaluation of streamed video
Lipa, Matúš ; Červenák, Rastislav (referee) ; Kováč, Dominik (advisor)
This work deals with creating web application for subjective evaluation of streamed video and parts which are necessary. Streaming techniques are described from simple classical technique to adaptive bitrate streaming techniques. This work focus on adaptive bitrate streaming technology using MPEG - DASH and editing video source with tool FFmpeg. With using JavaScript is create a player who´s able to simulate changes in the network as a change in available bandwidth. It´s possible to create scenarios under which the player selects the video playback quality. The player is placed into a complex tool for evaluation of quality of experience.
